Make Money by Downloading iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch Apps

If you own an Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, then you've almost undoubtedly paid a visit to the infamous App Store. There are thousands and thousands of free and paid applications just waiting to be downloaded. If you are downloading apps for your i-device, wouldn't it be great if you could make money just for downloading those new applications? A new service known as Apperang intends to do just that. The website is built as a way for developers to get more people to download their applications. By charging the developers only 25 cents each time someone downloads their application, it's a great deal for them to be able to really spread the news about their product, and is much cheaper than other alternatives. The benefit for the people who download these apps is that they get paid! If the application is free, you get paid 25 cents for each app you download. If it is a paid app, you receive 25 cents plus the cost of the app. So if the app was $2, you would receive $2.25 in your account. You can then withdraw this money to Paypal.
At the moment, the service only has about 15 applications (which translates to $3.75). However, the site hopes to expand to include hundreds more applications, which means you could be making a lot of money just by downloading apps.
So how does it work? You sign up for an account on the site: http://www.apperang.com with the same email address you use for Paypal, and then browse the available apps. Once you find one to install, it gives you a link that opens iTunes, where you must download and install the app to your phone. Then, the site checks to verify you've actually installed the app, and then pays you. Once your account reaches $1 (a very low payout, most sites are at least $10), you can request a Paypal transfer.

That's actually because you need to do it on a desktop (or laptop) computer so that the site can run a Java applet to prove you downloaded and installed the app. The iPad/phone/pod can't run Java applets, so they force you to use either a Mac or PC that can.

Pretty funny that if you go there to browse with an iPad it says you have a incompatible OS :-)
